Episcopal Church Women

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) is open to all women of the parish and offers a rewarding time for faith, fellowship and fun while working on special projects and events that help make our church the special place it is.

The annual Christmas Bazaar & Turkey Luncheon held each November is an ECW highlight.  It brings together many talented and generous women (and men) from the church and is the main fundraiser each year, providing funds needed to continue special Outreach initiatives within the church and local community. Other ECW activities include the 6-week Lenten Lunch Program that began many years ago as a convenience for those attending the noonday Lenten services and has grown to be very popular; published & distributed a Church Cookbook, and joined forces with other area churches  to host a Community Block Party for area congregations.

Over the years, the ECW has selected many worthy charitable organizations and causes to share its Outreach money with:  Blue Ridge Hospice, FISH, Free Medical Clinic, The Laurel Center (formerly known as The Shelter for Abused Women), Shrine Mont Camp & Conference Center (the Diocesan Retreat in Orkney Springs, VA), the Salvation Army, Cure Autism Now, Help with Housing, Stop Hunger Now, Visiting Nurse programs, and the Diocese of Virginia.
