About the Sounds of Grace -

We’ve turned the old chapel hall, with its great acoustics, into a comfortable concert setting. It’s just across the street from the church itself at the top of North Church Street. We create an informal coffee house atmosphere and serve light refreshments. We can seat about 50 people. It’s a great family setting; $10 per adult, kids free. Part of the gate goes to help those in need.

We feature small groups and individual musicians. The selection of music ranges widely through Celtic, bluegrass, country, jazz, classical, popular, barbershop, shape note singing, jive, and foot stompin’ back porch folk. We feature well-known local groups and individuals, new talent, and nationally established performers. We also present occasional events in the Roots of American Music series. Concerts are usually the third Saturday, year round. Some people like to bring baked goods to share. Please, no smoking.

The concerts usually begin at 7:30. For more information call the church office at 540-955-1610.

 Concert Funds -

Since May, 2003, there have been over 37 concerts. The concert funds provide a substantial portion of the church’s outreach program. In 2005, we sent a portion of the concert proceeds directly to Episcopal Relief & Development for tsunami and hurricane relief and the balance went to the Grace Outreach Committee. We thank all those who have helped put on the concerts.
